Kateryn Nuñez

Kateryn learned Havening while simultaneously learning to become a homebirth midwife. She uses Havening with her clients to practice holistic care, but she has also used it extensively to grow as a midwife. It has helped her cue into her intuition, connect more humanely, and be confident and calm during the challenging parts of her profession. Thus, Havening is inextricably bound to her learning who she is as a midwife. 

Besides the impact of having a midwife who has been shaped by Havening, her clients have experienced its effects directly. Kateryn routinely uses the modality to clear fear and guilt, and build confidence and resilience related to the momentous changes encountered during the perinatal period. This has resulted in her clients feeling empowered during these rites of passage. 

Kateryn aims to expand access to the midwifery model of care and with it Havening, since midwifery is incomplete without the knowledge to also care for women’s emotional health.
